We provide many opportunities for spiritual learning and growth here at St. Paul's.  You are invited to join at any time!

Sunday School - Sundays at 9:30 a.m.-10:15a.m. -- We have classes starting at the three-year-old level all the way to High School Youth.  Classes are now enjoying the brand new classrooms the Lord has given us.  We begin each week or at the start of the year with a gathering of all the classes in the Church for an opening and then break up into our individual classes with age appropriate materials centered in Jesus' love for all His children.  For more information call our Sunday School Superintendent Kelly Tellier at 738-3508.

Adult Bible Study - Sundays at 9:30 a.m.or Mondays at 7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. -- We have two studies running on Sundays with various topics, studies of individual books of the Bible, and basic introductory courses to the faith.  They meet in comfortable settings and always welcome all comers!  People are never forced to read or speak out loud and friendly discussion is always welcome. 

      9:30am- Join us in the Upper Fellowship Room Sunday mornings at 9:15 as Ewald Dickau leads us in a 6-week study looking at The Hard Sayings of Jesus.  Bring your Bible and a heart open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.  We look forward to seeing you there!

7:30pm- The Gospel of John

St. Paul's Community Nursery School - Weekday mornings September through May.  We have a Nursery School Program in existence for over thirty years, fully licensed by the state of Connecticut, and taught by a staff that includes college graduates and a head teacher with a degree in early childhood education from St. Joseph's College plus a degree in nutrition from Cornell University.  Four-year-olds meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and three-year-olds meet Tuesday and Thursday.  For more information call our registrar Janice Becker at (860)379-6417or the school at (860)379-3172.

Youth Group - For teenagers 7-12 grade.  Led by Donna Eddy, Drew & Julie Ossolinski this group gathers for a Bible study and discussion group on Sundays at 9:15 AM and for various activities monthly that include overnight hikes, service projects, canoe trips, picnics, and activities teenagers love, all in a Christian setting.  For more information call our Coordinator of Christian Education Donna Eddy at deddy4985@charter.net.

Confirmation Class - For teenagers in 7th and 8th grade - This is an intense time of growth in the Lord for our young teens.  Taught by Pastor Yeadon and Vicar, we examine the basics of the faith and the issues teens face in light of God's love and the answers He gives us in His Word.  For more information on Confirmation call Pastor Yeadon at (860)738-7400.

Vacation Bible School - Our summertime growth in the Lord includes a week of Vacation Bible School for pre-schoolers through 6th grade with many teens and adults comprising the staff.  VBS will be held from July 14-18, 2008. Prayer Ministry - If you would like to grow in your ability to pray and have an effective prayer life, join us on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM for a half jour of prayer for the world, our nation, our community and Church, and our personal needs plus the needs of others in our lives.  Prayer does change things.

Basic Lutheran Teachings "BLT" - For individuals new to the Lutheran faith who are interested in joining St. Paul's Church as a communicant member. BLT classes can even be used as refresher for existing members. Although it is not an ongoing class, it is scheduled as the need arises. Check the News at St. Paul's for updates.

Small Group Study for Women-    Attention all women!  By popular demand...A new Women's Small Group Study begins February 21 at 7:30 PM (fellowship at 7:15) and will run through May 22 based on the best-selling book and study guide, "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World."  Like Mary, we long to sit at the Lord's feet, but daily demands can get in the way.  Like Martha, we long to serve the Lord but can be weary and resentful.  Jesus shows us the better way -- and we'll explore that in-depth over the 12 weeks.  Easy reading will be required -- a dozen or so pages a week.  Please let Donna Eddy or Donna Porritt know if you plan to attend so books can be ordered.  Join us (bring a friend!) -- and pray for us all!
